"To'ar,"Background:
The To'ar (Torah-Art) Organization was founded by Rabbi Yitzhak (Ika) Israeli, z"l, and Rabbi Mordechai Arnon. The two are artists and pioneers who impacted and passed on a legacy of art, creativity and expression to the present generation.

Toar was established and operates to this day as a center for creative and artistic expression while maintaining cultural values shared by the orthodox community. Within Toar there are three main projects that cooperate with the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Science, Jerusalem Municipality, "Orpan," "Ner Le'elef," "Bet-Yaakov," and "Genzach Kiddush Ha'Shem."

The "Art Shelter Gallery:"

Toar created the Art Shelter Gallery to serve as a hub for religious-orthodox artists from all walks of life and levels of talent. The gallery employs a full-time curator as well as a part-time art director.

"Culture in the Community:"

The gallery also functions as a teaching studio for young budding artists. The gallery hosts workshops, lessons, and functions to help inspire a new generation of artists under the direction of professional staff and the Director of Art.
